Tecklenburg Trail Construction on 66th Street set to Begin October 14

The St. Clair County Transit District is constructing a Shared Use Path on 66th Street from Main Street over Route 161 to Dutch Hollow Road. As part of the project, we will be refurbishing 66th Street, which will include regrading, shaping and finishing with an asphalt surface to include aggregate shoulders. We are working with the City of Belleville, Stookey Township and St. Clair Township to make these improvements.

Hanks Excavating and Landscaping will begin this work on October 14th and be completed by November 1, weather permitting. During construction there will be periodic closures while they prepare the pavement for the asphalt surface. Traffic will be permitted through when it is safe.
