The St. Clair County Transit District recently announced that Austin Rauscher, of Lebanon, Ill., has been hired as an engineering technician. He will be responsible for assisting with procurement, facility support and operations, bike/pedestrian trail expansion and special projects. He will also work to help further state grants and community events.
Rauscher brings five years of heavy civil industry experience to the St. Clair County Transit District. He most recently served as a senior field engineer with SAK Construction, where he gained experience in subcontractor management, geotechnical engineering, scheduling, quality control and facilitating new business.
Rauscher received a bachelor’s degree in Geography/GIS from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
