ST. CLAIR COUNTY TRANSIT DISTRICT DELIVERING NEW BUS SHELTERS FOR CUSTOMERS

District Committed to Improving Amenities for All Riders 

St. Clair County Transit District (SCCTD) is delivering new amenities in St. Clair County for all transit riders.   Recently the District unveiled its bus shelter renovation program, providing improved shelter and coverage for customers waiting for the buses.   Hank’s Construction, a local contracting firm, completed several locations throughout St. Clair County.  Total contract cost for the 4 locations, 5 stops was $15,203.7.

“We believe ensuring a well-maintained system for riders and the communities in which our system resides is imperative,” said Herb Simmons, Chair of the St. Clair County Board of Trustees. “This renovation program ensures we are providing a well-maintained program each day in St. Clair County – not to mention these shelters were delivered in five days.”

Recent location renovations include IL 15 & 14th, East St Louis (1 stop); Bond Ave & 47th,  Alorton (2 stops); Water St & IL 3, Cahokia (1 stop); and Lincoln Trail & Jerome Ln., Fairview Heights (1 stop).
