Special Thanks to Our Partner ATS

As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to impact our communities, St. Clair County Transit District  (SCCTD) would like to express our thanks to our partner, ATS, for their help in delivering essential transit service in St. Clair County.   Impacts of COVID-19 can be seen in all areas of our economy including the ranks of bus and transit operators.   With service reductions to account for loss of drivers due to illness or quarantine, ATS stepped in Southwestern Illinois to cover four MetroBus routes including Scott AFB routes 21 and 21X, the 17X which serves Mascoutah and Lebanon, and the 2X which serves Columbia and Waterloo.  Thank you for helping SCCTD deliver essential transit service during this time.

The Alternative Transportation System (ATS) provides curb-to-curb community service for individuals certified as American Disabilities Act (ADA) eligible and service for those age 60 and older in some areas of St. Clair County through a partnership with SCCTD and Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC). ATS also operates the SCCTD Flyer in East St. Louis and Fairmount City through this partnership.
