SCCTD Rider Talks About Importance of Transit to the Community

Robert Dettling has been taking transit since the 1980’s.  He currently takes the MetroLink from St. Clair County into St. Louis University several times a week.  He enjoys watching the seasons change and believes the walk from the station to campus helps to keep him healthy.  Mr. Dettling considers taking public transportation to be a much safer alternative to driving on the highways.  Automobile accidents are much more common than transit vehicle accidents.  Mr. Dettling plans to continue to ride the transit system and hopes that others will join him.
