SCCTD and CMT Partner to Launch #HeadOverWheels Campaign; Share Your Love of Transit

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and the St. Clair County Transit District (SCCTD) along with Citizens for Modern Transit (CMT) is launching a social media campaign in celebration of the fact that St. Louis-area residents continue to fall head over “wheels” in love with public transit. From Saturday, Feb. 1 through Friday, Feb. 14, those who post a photo of themselves taking MetroLink or MetroBus on Facebook or Instagram using #HeadOverWheels will receive free transit passes.

This includes two $5 Metro Adventure Tickets good for unlimited rides on any given day. Transit riders can keep one for themselves and then share the love by giving the other one to a spouse, partner, friend or colleague. Those who choose to post the photo to their Instagram or Facebook story can also take advantage of the “Add Yours” feature and use CMT’s special #HeadOverWheels story template.

Transit passes will be mailed to qualifying riders. CMT will contact them via Instagram or Facebook direct message to obtain the needed address. Tickets will be sent shortly thereafter.

Make plans to participate and show that you are #HeadOverWheels for transit, too.
