The St. Clair County Transit District (SCCTD) is offering a special package for the September 6 St. Louis Cardinals vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers game to honor the former Chairperson of the St. Clair County Transit District Board, Delores Lysakowski. In addition, this Labor Day game will be a great opportunity to see the return of Albert Pujols at the plate, and first 30,000 fans 16 or older will receive a victory blue short-sleeved, hooded Cardinals’ pullover courtesy of Shane Co.
The $30 ticket package includes a ticket in the Left Field Porch area near the Budweiser Bowtie Bar in Busch Stadium, a one day transit pass good on MetroLink and MetroBus, and a lunch provided by Big Fella’s BBQ a the Fairview Heights Station from 12:30 to 2 p.m. (Food and beverage included). Game time is 3:15 pm.
Delores Lysakowski served as the Chairperson of the St. Clair County Transit District for more than 40 years. She was responsible for the inception of the famous Red Bird Express serving St. Clair County residents and beyond for homegames at Busch Stadium. In addition, Delores led the District through the arrival and expansion of MetroLink in St. Clair County, IL. “We could not find a more fitting way to honor Delores and her love of the St. Louis Cardinals than with a day at the ballpark in her honor,” said Ken Sharkey, managing director of the SCCTD.
