Join the Fall 2026 Ten Toes + Transit Session

For two decades, Citizens for Modern Transit’s Ten Toes + Transit program has helped older adults stay active, build friendships and gain confidence using public transit. Since launching in 2006, the program has connected more than 14,000 participants to destinations in St. Clair County and across the bi-state region through guided walks, special outings and transit adventures.

Each week, participants travel together via transit to explore attractions, parks, neighborhoods and other destinations throughout the region. Walks range from leisurely strolls to longer excursions, with options available to fit a variety of interests and activity levels. The program also includes popular special tours and Coffee Club outings. This fall, CMT is excited to welcome a new volunteer walk leader in Illinois.

As a program partner SCCTD encourages older adults to consider joining the Fall 2026 session beginning in September. It is a fun and welcoming way to explore new places, meet new people, stay active and become more comfortable riding MetroLink and MetroBus.

SCCTD is a progrm partner and encourages those interested to register for the Fall 2026 session. For more information or to register, click here or call 314-231-7272.
