City of Fairview Heights Donates Land for Future SCCTD MetroBikeLink Trail

The City of Fairview Heights has announced they will donate a portion of a lot at the corner of Bunkum Road and Lincoln Trail to St. Clair County Transit District (SCCTD). This donation will allow for the development and construction of a multi-use cyclist and pedestrian trail. This planned section of the SCCTD MetroBikeLink trail system will connect existing and not yet built trails to the Fairview Heights REC.

Construction is planned for later this year or spring 2027.
