St. Clair County Transit District to Host Kickoff for Comprehensive Bus Study

Transit Vision 2020 is a comprehensive analysis of the 18 fixed bus routes in St. Clair County

The St. Clair County Transit District (SCCTD) is committed to ensuring a safe, effective and efficient transit system.   At its April Board meeting, the SCCTD Board approved a contract with Transportation Management Design, Inc. (TMD) to conduct a comprehensive 9-month analysis of the 18 fixed bus routes in St. Clair County – Transit Vision 2020.  The Transit Vision 2020 Kickoff will be held on Wednesday, July 24 at East St. Louis Township Clyde C. Jordan Senior Citizen Center. It will be an opportunity to learn more about the study and how the results will improve the rider experience.

The study will look at changing service options with the goal of offering patrons faster, more frequent service. SCCTD is providing an opportunity to hear directly from the consultants about the project including study goals, timeline and how stakeholders can join the conversation and have an impact on the study results.
