SCCTD ANNOUNCES SHUTTLE TO WORLD WIDE TECHNOLOGY RACEWAY

St. Clair County Transit District Offers Roundtrip Service for Three Upcoming Races

Belleville, IL May 13, 2019 – St. Clair County Transit District announced a new shuttle service to the World Wide Technology Raceway (WWT) (formerly Gateway Racetrack) for three upcoming races.  The shuttle is a low cost and easy alternative for fans traveling to and from WWT Raceway.  Shuttle drop off and pick up will take place in the northwest parking area with access to ticket entry gates.

The shuttle will depart from the Park and Ride lot at the Fairview Heights MetroLink Station located at 9200 St. Clair Ave., Fairview Heights, IL 62208. The shuttle will run every 30 minutes between the times listed below for each event.  Fares can be purchased for the roundtrip service at the ticket booth located at the Fairview Heights Park and Ride lot for $5. Only cash will be accepted.

The shuttle will service the following three races:

  • NASCAR & Area Series Double Header
    • Race Date: June 22
    • Shuttle Service Times: 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Bommarito 500 NTT IndyCar Series
    • Race Date: August 24
    • Shuttle Service Times: 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals
    • Race Date: September 27 (Qualifying night)
    • Shuttle Service Times: TBA
